How do I find my WHN online password? You can obtain your online password by clicking the 'forgotten or do not know your password' link on the Login page. Type in your email address and the details will be sent to you. If we do not have your current email address however, you should send your details to member.support@womenshistorynetwork.org and we will send your login information to you.

How do I change my WHN online password? You can change your online password from the 'Edit Profile' screen once you have logged in with your current password. Click on the 'Edit' button in your profile, then click on the 'Personnal Information' tab. About halfway down this form you will see a section dedicated to your password. Enter your old password, then your new password twice, then click 'Save Changes' at the bottom of your form. Please ensure you use a complex password to protect your account.
When you change your password you will be automatically logged out and you will then have to log in with your new password. If you hit any problems changing your password then please contact member.support@womenshistorynetwork.org with details of your issue.

Why can no-one see my profile details? Your profile and interests will remain private until you update your profile page and set which groups may view your profile. You may choose to remain private, only allow other WHN members to view your profile, or you can allow press and public to view your profile. Please note that only your main profile details and list of interests/areas of expertise will be visible to other people, your personal details such as address etc, will never be viewable by other members or the public.

How do I add details for a book/article I have contributed to with other WHN members? If you have contributed to a book/article, either as co-author, co editor, or you wrote a section or chapter(s), along with other WHN members, then before adding the book via your profile, please check that the book/article is not already in the database by clicking the 'View Articles' or 'View Books' link on the left hand side. If the book or article is already in the database you can add details of your own contribution via the links on the book or article page.

I have paid my subscription by standing order but my membership profile says I have not paid - why? If you have paid your subscription by standing order, it may take a while for this to be registered by the treasurer/membership secretary and your subscription status updated. You can help speed up this process by ensuring your standing order mandate is up to date and includes the new payee reference which helps identify your payment - see the link on the Donations/Payments tab of your profile. If you are concerned that your payment has not been acknowledged, please email member.support@womenshistorynetwork.org.

How do I upgrade to a Lifetime Membership? You may upgrade to a lifetime membership at any time by logging in to your WHN profile and select the 'Subscription tab'. In the 'Lifetime Subscription Upgrade' box select which type of lifetime subscription is is appropriate (Standard or Retired), then click 'Buy Now' to pay online by card, or you may pay through your PayPal account if you have one. If you wish pay for your lifetime upgrade by cheque or other means please contact the membership secretary, membership@womenshistorynetwork.org, who will send you details of where to send your cheque or where to make your payment.
