It was accompanied by a lively social media campaign extending the reach of the project to a wider online community.

The Females of the Factory: Women’s Contribution to Pilkington’s Tiles and Pottery

Volunteer curators and the Live at LICA organisation,

The Females of the FactoryUsing photographs taken from the John Chambers Archive at the Peter Scott Gallery, a team of volunteers have curated an exhibition as part of LOOK/15 which aims to highlight the contribution of women to Pilkington’s Tiles and Pottery Factory while also striving to reunite these photographs with their forgotten stories.

Women of AchievementThis project focuses on the achievements of South Asian women who arrived in East Lancashire between 1965-1985. Our aim was to concentrate on the achievements these women have made within our community, the influence they have made to the local community and how they have helped to change the cultural makeup of our country and East Lancashire in particular.

Jamaicans in Nottingham: Narratives and Reflections

Jamaicans in NottinghamA non-fiction book containing a collection of narratives and reflections from women and men of Jamaican heritage, residing or born in the city of Nottingham, who have contributed to the development and achievements of the city since the 1940s. The text is accompanied with original photographs and archived newspaper cuttings to help illustrate the descriptive and original interviews in the book.
