The schools’ history prize is a fantastic opportunity for students to get involved in ‘doing’ history. International Women’s Day is the 8th of March and the theme this year is #PressforProgress. We are asking students to research the history of a figure or group who have pressed for progress and fought for gender parity in any field. Students need to create a project and the project must be displayed; this can be either a classroom display or in the wider-school environment.
What better way to celebrate Women’s History Month and get creative!
Deadline for submission is 1st May 2018. Entries will be judged by the Steering Committee and the winner will receive £50 pus a copy of A History of Women in 100 Objects by Maggie Andrews and Janis Lomas.
Please complete the electronic entry form as a Word document and send as an email attachment with 3 jpg images showing your project (one of which with the students) which can be used as part of WHN/Historical Association publicity in print and online to firstname.lastname@example.org
