March is Women’s History Month and the Schools’ Prize provides a fantastic opportunity for students to become immersed in ‘doing’ history.
This year we would like to invite students to create a poster which illustrates
- Women & Girls in Science
- 75yrs of the NHS – Past & Present
The poster, can be created in any medium or style (painting, drawing, CGI, collage, etc). It can be from any period, up until the present day and from across the world. As we are also celebrating 75 years of the NHS, you can celebrate someone who has worked or works for the NHS that you may know (As long as they are happy for it to be published online). Submissions can be made by an individual, a pair or a group of students from the same school.
The deadline for submission is 30th June, 2023. Entries will be judged by the Steering Committee and the winning and highly commended designs will used for WHN merchandise.
The winner will receive £250 for their school and a certificate. The posters will also be used to create an online Schools Prize exhibition on the WHN website – to see last year’s exhibition go to https://womenshistorynetwork.org/whn-schools-history-prize-2022/
