Friends of the Factories

‘Friends of the Factories’ is a community group founded to celebrate, honour and keep the legacy of the shirt factory industries and the women’s history associated with it acknowledged for generations to come in Derry/Londonderry. FOTF successfully campaigned for a public memorial for the workers, with eight plaques unveiled across the city, honouring the women, the workers, and their achievements.

In conversation with Helen Antrobus, Yvonne Norris (Campaign Coordinator, PhD Researcher at Manchester Metropolitan University) talks about their WHN Community Prize winning campaign.

The seminar will also be livestreamed on Facebook and available for 24 hours.
