On the 5th August 1914, twenty-four year old Miss Grace Ashley-Smith went to the War Office to offer the services of the ladies of the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry. Thus begins the story of the determination, dedication and bravery of the F.A.N.Y. Corps on the battle fields of Belgium.
The venue of the each talk is The Great Hall, Bedford School, De Parys Avenue, Bedford MK40 2TU commencing at 7:30 pm and each will last about an hour. Tickets for all events are available from Bedford Central box Office based in the Tourist Information Office.
