‘Women and the Natural World: Historical Perspectives on Nature Climate and Environmental Change’ is a one day conference. The key note speaker is Professor Nicola Whyte, University of Exeter, on ‘Landscape, Memory and the Life-course in the Travel Writing of Celia Fiennes’.

Papers are organised around the themes of Women and the Rural Environment; Ecofeminism and Women’s Activism; and Natural Science, Education and Community Action.

The West of England and South Wales Women’s History Network 30th Annual Conference ‘Women and the Natural World: Historical Perspectives on Nature Climate and Environmental Change’ is on Saturday 30 September 2023 from 10 am to 5pm at Exeter Central Library, Castle Street, Exeter, Devon EX4 3PQ.
